2017 Speaking Events

George will be co-presenting a session called "Integrating Merchandise Analytics and Inventory Planning to Ensure Growth and Profitability" at the CohereOne Catalog and Integrated Marketing Summit in San Rafael, CA on May 17-19.

2016 Speaking Events

George Mollo will co-present a 3 hour workshop on Merchandising at the NEMOA (National ETailing and Mailing Organization of America) on March 9, 2016. The topics to be covered include merchandise assortment planning, how to improve and increase margin, item selection and pricing strategies, merchandising for digital versus catalog (including digital merchandise analysis) and liquidation strategies.

2015 Speaking Events

George Mollo co-presented a 3 hour workshop on Merchandising at the NEMOA (National ETailing and Mailing Organization of America) on March 11, 2015. The topics covered included merchandise assortment planning, item selection, pricing strategies, various selling approaches and benefits and integration of initial buys and controls into the planning process.

2014 Speaking Events

George Mollo will be presenting a session on "Hidden Opportunities: How You Can Manage Concealed Costs" related to inbound logistics, one of the top 8 operational company expenses, at the 2014 Parcel Forum, Gaylord Texan Convention Center in Dallas, September 29 thru October 1st, 2014.

George Mollo presented a session on "It's the Product, Stupid!", a session on how basic and merchandise analysis using simple metrics can dramatically improve sales and profitability, at the CohereOne Summit in San Francisco, September 3-5, 2014.

George Mollo presented a session on "Best Practices in Inventory Management in Today's Omni-Channel World" at the Operations Summit, Hyatt Regency, Columbus, OH, April 23-25, 2013. (The Operations Summit is the only Conference Exclusively about Direct-to-Customer Operations & Fulfillment.)

2012 Speaking Events

George Mollo presented a session on "Successful Inventory Management Planning – Nine Things You Need to Know" at the Operations Summit, Memphis Cook Convention Center, May 2-3, 2012. (The Operations Summit is the only Conference Exclusively about Direct-to-Customer Operations & Fulfillment). George also moderated roundtable discussions on "Best Practices for Slow Moving Inventory" and "Inventory Management Strategies for Small Businesses."

George Mollo presented a two part Webinar session with Gina Valentino, President of Hemisphere Marketing, called "40 Tips to Improve Margin and Profitability" at the Catalog University "PUB", on March 7th (Part 1) and March 12th (Part 2). The Catalog University PUB is FREE to everyone. The sessions were recorded and posted on Catalog University for all subscribers.

2011 Speaking Events

George Mollo,  presented a half day workshop at the NCOF (National Conference on Operations and Fulfillment) titled, "Fundamentals of Inventory Management for Marketers." The pre-conference Intensives workshop was held on April 4 at the Rio All Suites Hotel & Conference Center in Las Vegas, NV. The full conference was held April 5-6, 2011.

George Mollo co-presented a Webinar offering "40 Tips to Improve Margin and Profitability" to the Direct Gardening Association on February 23, 2011.

2010 Speaking Events

George Mollo presented a session on "Breaking Down the Silos: Communication that Increases Efficiencies and Profitability" (based on his hand-on experience and case study results) at the Merit Direct Business Mailer's Co-op and Interactive Marketing Conference in White Plains, NY held July 14-16, 2010.

In May 2010, George Mollo moderated and co-presented "40 Tips to Improve Your Margin and Increase Profitability" with Gina Valentino at the Retail Marketing Conference held May 24-27, 2010 at the Gaylord Palms Resort In Orlando, FL.

George Mollo,  President of GJM Associates, Inc. once again presented a half day workshop at the NCOF (National Conference on Operations and Fulfillment) titled, "Successful Inventory Management: It's All About Relationships". The pre-conference was held on April 19 at the Disney Dolphin Hotel in Orlando, FL. The full conference was held April 20-21, 2010. He also hosted a pre-luncheon table discussion, "Managing Inbound Freight" on Tuesday, April 20.

2009 Speaking Events

George Mollo, President of GJM Associates, Inc. participated in a panel discussion on the "Economic Outlook 2010" at the CyberCity Teleservices Users Group conference in New York City on October 1, 2009.

George Mollo was also part of a panel presentation on "40 Ways to Lose Your Losses" at the New England Mail Order Association (NEMOA) fall conference held at Foxwoods Resort, Ledyard, CT on September 16-18, 2009.

In May, he presented Merchandise Analysis: Consistently Picking the Winners at ACCM (Annual Conference for Catalog and Multichannel Marketers) in New Orleans, LA at the Morial Convention Center, May 4-7, 2009.

In March, George Mollo presented a half day workshop at NCOF (National Conference on Operations and Fulfillment) titled, "Successful Inventory Management: Finding  Profits in Your Business". The pre-conference workshop was held March 23, 2009 at the Rio Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, NV. He also moderated a panel discussion on "Best Practices: Inventory Management" and a roundtable discussion on Strategic Inventory Management. The full conference was held March 24- 26, 2009.

2008 Speaking Events

George Mollo, President of GJM Associates, Inc. was part of a senior executive panel at the Fall New England Mail Order Association (NEMOA) conference held in Burlington, VT. The panel "Staying in the Black" examined each major line of a P&L, offering actionable insights to improve the bottom line.

In May, he presented "Merchandise Analysis: A Critical Measurement for Success (Made Easy)" at the Annual Conference for Catalogers and Multichannel Merchants (ACCM), in Orlando, FL on May 19-22.

At the NCOF Conference in April (April 7-10 in Orlando, FL) he presented a half-day preconference workshop titled "Conquering the Inventory Management Challenge."

George Mollo once again was a key note presenter at the Direct Tech, Inc (Forecast 21) Users group conference in Orlando, FL on February 10-13. His topic was "Staying on Top Of Metrics." He also hosted a roundtable discussion on Key Performance Indicators.

2007 Speaking Events

George Mollo, President of GJM Associates, Inc. made two presentations at the Annual Conference for Catalog & Multichannel Merchants in Boston from May 21-23, 2007. The first, a panel presentation, "50 Ideas! Tips, Tricks and Secrets to Reduce Operations Costs" and the second presentation was "Inventory Forecasting: It Doesn't Take a Village, Just Marketing and Merchandising."

In January, he was one of the keynote presenters at the Mid-America Motorworks "2007 M-Curve Quality Supplier Summit" held in Effingham, IL. His presentation of "Gross Margin Impacts on Profitability and Supplier Relationships" offered views from both the suppliers and direct marketers perspective and how building stronger partnerships can be a "win-win" for all.

2006 Speaking Events

George Mollo, President of GJM Associates, Inc. presented two different topics at the Direct Tech, Inc. (Forecast 21) Users Conference in Las Vegas on September 24-27. He reprised the session on "Breaking Down Silos" presented earlier this year at NCOF and also presented a session on "Merchandise Assortment Planning" and its importance to the entire Inventory Management process.

In May, he presented "Tighter  Inventory Controls for Improved Cash Flow and Bottom Line Profits" at the Annual Conference for Catalog, Internet  & Multichannel Merchants in Chicago on May 8-10. At the conference he also provided free consulting advice on Merchandise Planning, Inventory Management and Operations as part of "Ask the Doctor" Catalog Medical Center located in the Exhibit Hall.

In April, 2006, George Mollo, participated in a panel discussion on "Supply Chain Strategies for 2006 and Beyond" at the VendorNet Users Group meeting in Delray Beach, FL, April 3-4.

The following week, April 10-13, he presented "Breaking Down the Silos:  Communicating Information to Achieve Better Results" at the NCOF Conference in Orlando, FL. He also moderated a roundtable discussion on "Inventory Accuracy" and as he has for several years, he again moderated and participated in a panel discussion "60 Ideas in 60 Minutes: Managing Operations Costs."

2005 Speaking Events

To date, in 2005, George Mollo, President, GJM Associates, Inc. was part of a panel of industry experts at the New England Mail Order Association (NEMOA) Spring Conference, March 23-25 in Cambridge, MA.

At the NCOF Conference in Grapevine, TX, April 3-6, he moderated and took part in presenting 60 Ideas in 60 Minutes: "Managing Operations Costs."

At the Annual Catalog Conference in Orlando, FL, May 23-25, George Mollo was part of a panel discussing "Strategic Merchandise Building Blocks from A to Z" and also presented a session on "Applying Merchandise Analysis & Inventory Management Techniques to Uncover Hidden Profits in your Business."

He also presented an updated version of "Applying Merchandise & Inventory Management Techniques to Uncover Hidden Profits" at the Direct Marketing Association's Conference & Exhibition "DMA05" in Atlanta, October 15-19, 2005.

2004 Speaking Events

In 2004, George Mollo moderated and spoke at a number of industry conferences throughout the year. He moderated several panel discussions and roundtable conversations at the National Conference on Operations and Fulfillment (NCOF) in Chicago. At the DMA's Annual Catalog Conference in Chicago, he moderated and presented a two-part session on "Merchandise Assortment Planning and Item Forecasting". 

In the fall of 2004, he presented a three-hour workshop session on "Applying Merchandise & Inventory Techniques to Uncover Hidden Profits" at the New England Mail Order Association's (NEMOA) Fall Conference in Providence, RI. He also took part in a panel presentation "Forecasting the Future: Tips & Tricks from Marketing and Merchandise/Inventory Control" during the Direct Marketing Association's Annual Conference in New Orleans.

Other Events

In addition to regular DMA conferences, George Mollo has spoken at a number of vendor User Conferences and in Europe at the European Catalogue and Mail Order Days (ECMOD).
